Is anyone else sick of this snowy weather? I sure am! As I was going through some of my files from 2011, I came across part 2 of Michelle's bridals (how did I miss posting these sooner??). Anyway, these photos made me miss warm weather even more. So, I had to create this post to share not only some more of the gorgeousness that is Michelle but also to help bring some warm sunshine to these cold winter days. This portion of her bridals took place in some beautiful morning light. I was giddy while playing with the amazing sun flare and Michelle's golden curls. Love you girl!

Travis & Line {engagement photography}

I cannot express how much I loved doing this engagement session. Line was one of my favorite students that I worked with at East High School so, when she asked me to take some photos of her and her future hubby-to-be, I could not have been more excited. This girl is seriously freakin hilarious and she kept me laughing the entire shoot. Besides all the laughs, what I loved most about this session was seeing how Travis looked at Line. During the little time that I spent with these two I could tell that he had so much love for her. Travis and Line seemed to truly enjoy being together and are definitely a perfect fit. He better treat her well... And from what I saw, I am sure that he will. Congratulations again you two. I wish nothing but the best for you always!

Hello out there! Yes, I am back to blogging. My little sweetheart is finally giving me a little extra time to myself so, hopefully I can keep this thing updated... Hopefully! Anyway, here is an amazing session of a gorgeous girl. Alicia is a spitfire let me tell you and we had so much fun with her. Other than a brief encounter with a fisherman, everything could not have been more perfect. Alicia was a natural in front of the camera, the lighting was beyond awesome, and the scenery up Emigration Canyon was just beautiful as always. Can you tell that I kinda like this session? Yay! Finally I am showing off my Facebook winner who was seriously awesome! Ana and Paulo were so much fun to hangout with on this shoot. Ana has an AMAZING blog that everyone should check out called sweet serendipity... As you can tell this girl has style and when she told me she likes all things vintage I had the perfect location for her. We were blessed with some gorgeous light (which hurt poor Paulo's eyes) but made for some great photos. I am so happy that I was able to meet the two of you and I hope you enjoy your prize!

I really played around with a more vintage style of editing for this session and I am loving it!

Ana brought these fun suitcases that she found while thrifting.... Is anyone else as in love with them as I am?

The feeling in these two photos are so sweet. From the little time I was able to spend with these two I was able to see just how in love they are. Such a cute couple!

They are 5x7 flat cards printed on fine art paper (not photo paper). They can be printed on multiple paper finishes; pearl matte paper (awesome shimmery, pearl-like finish), linen matte or glossy (a rougher texture that looks like linen clothe), and smooth matte or glossy.
Text can be adjusted to whatever your heart desires.
Envelopes are included.
Orders must be made in quantities of 25. (this means you can order 25, 50, 75 etc.)

This was one o f those sessions that makes me feel so lucky to be doing what I love! I have known Michelle for over 10 years and I am so grateful to have shared in her big day by being her photographer. Michelle has such a fun personality and her dress style and blusher veil really match her sassy self perfectly. From how amazing Michelle looks you would have never known that she had multiple fiascoes right before this shoot... From having a slight dress malfunction to slamming her pretty little finger in the door she still pulled off some amazing photos. Thanks again Michelle it was so fun working with you!

Oh yeah, this is only round one of her bridals. We quickly ran out of light with this session so we did another shoot the next morning and lets just say Michelle was glowing... Literally. Stay tuned for that!

I love this! I think she looks like a classic movie star...

Nope this is not a backdrop... I have had multiple people ask me if this sky is fake. But we just got lucky with an amazing sunset.

Holland {bridal photography}

Gorgeous... Really I know that goes without saying but she is truly gorgeous inside and out. Holland is so sweet and I had a blast on this bridal shoot. She had the best entourage ever, helpful and gushing over the bride as much as I was, and on this shoot they were definitely put to work. The wind was crazy but somehow her girls were able to keep her dress and hair looking stunning through out the shoot.

This is not the last time you will see Hollands lovely face... Her wedding will be coming up on my blog soon. It was awesome... So keep an eye out because you will not want to miss it!

My little girl Jayci is now 8 weeks old and Clay and I could not be any happier with our little princess. We love our family so much and I am so excited to finally share our first batch of family photos... Thanks mom for shooting these amazing images for me. I know I will love them forever!

I am pretty sure that this photo will end up being a large canvas in my living room. What do you think?

Clay and I love the look on Jayci's face in the photo on the right. It was the very beginning of the shoot so we got this amazing pose from her and then she decided a nap sounded better for the rest of the session.

Clay is the best father ever! Can you tell he's just a little proud of his baby girl?

Yeah, I know. These two are like the cutest kids ever!! I know I'm bias because they are my nieces but come on... you know you have too agree too. I had so much fun on this shoot. Brynlee could be a little model already with all of her cutesy poses. I have to say she might be the easiest 4 year old I have ever photographed. Harlie on the other hand was a little stinker! She was on the move the entire time so it was a bit of a challenge for an 8 month pregnant lady to chase her down. Brynlee is a great big sister and really tried to help me corral Harlie which was not easy... Lucky for me both these girls look good from any angle so we got some amazing shots. Love you girls!

I love these images... The photo on the right is of Harlie's "trick". Whenever her big sister does a cartwheel or somersault this is what Harlie pulls out. Pretty good right?

Lose {Senior Photography}

Awww Lose my dear... Where do I begin? Miss Lose 'Ulu'ave is truly an amazing girl! There is literally nothing this girl doesn't do. This year she is East High's Student Body Vice President and I must say that she did an amazing job; always being one step ahead of the game. On top of being Vice Pres, she is a high honor roll student with multiple AP classes, athletic, beautiful, can always keep me and her friends laughing, and she sings amazing! (though I know she will always wish that she could sound like me :) If you have ever had the ummm... pleasure? of hearing me sing you know that isn't even close to true! She on the other hand really does sound like she could be on the radio. I have loved every minute getting to know her and I have no doubt in my mind that she will go far after graduation. She is going to BYU this fall and I couldn't be more proud of her. She will absolutely have a positive impact on everyone that gets the opportunity to know her... I know she already has on me. Brett & Mia {graduation photography}

This was a fun shoot for me. Brett had been one of my husbands good friends since like Junior High so Clay came along on this shoot to help me out. Brett and Mia both graduated from Weber State University this Spring from the same English department and they wanted some photos not only to document their graduation but also to show them as a couple. I was more than happy to oblige. We started out in downtown Ogden for some more casual shots and made our way up to Weber State's campus where we finished off with some photos in their caps and gowns. Congratulations again!

Doesn't Mia have amazingly gorgeous hair? I love it, especially paired with her bright blue eyes.

McKenzei & Tylee {bridal photography}

If you have been following my blog you already saw a sneak peak of this lovely bride to be. I was so excited to work on this shoot and had WAY too many favorites to choose from. I love when pretty people make my job so easy. I basically had free reign to do whatever I wanted on this shoot because McKenzei, and the small entourage we had traveling along to help out, was up for anything! Unfortunately, on this day that meant posing in super cold winds and hiking around in the weeds with 4 inch glitter stilettos on. I know I say this a lot but, I think it was totally worth it! I love love love these images so much. Along with McKenzei being a total trooper and looking fabulous doing it, little Tylee also looked just stunning. Don't let the sunshine in these photos fool you... When I say it was cold I mean it was really cold and Tylee was just shakin. However, she did not want to miss out on being a part of this shoot. She likes to tell everyone that she is also getting married when her dad and McKenzei tie the knot. So, she also needed to get her bridal photos done too. I love how much McKenzei is making Tylee a part of this wedding and I can't wait for the big day!

Ummm yeah, they really are this cute together all the time and Tylee just loves her "bonus mom" or "mama bear"... She is still trying to decide what to call her. :)

Don't you just love these shoes? This girl lives in high heels and I am always a little jealous and amazed at the same time every time I see her fabulous shoes. You would think since I am barely breakin 5 feet that I would wear taller shoes. But, as always I stick to my flats... Mostly so my feet don't end up hating me at he end of the day.

I loved how the sun washed over everything in this valley. We ended up with lots of golden sun flare!

I will finally end this huge post with some gorgeous green eyes. Hope you all love this shoot as much as I do!

I don't even know where to start with this post. Wendy is way beyond amazing! If you are lucky enough to know this girl then you know what I am talking about. She is currently a senior at East High right now and plans on going to Weber State University to pursue a career in Criminal Justice. She has already accomplished so much in her life and will definitely make something amazing of herself in the future. Along with being smart, unbelievably gorgeous, an amazing athlete and kinda funny, she has a drive to overcome and dominate anything that comes her way. Congratulations Wendy!!! I am so proud of you and your upcoming graduation. You are one of the best people I have ever met and I am so grateful that I have had the opportunity to have you in my life. Love you!!!

Yeah, her hair is really that long and it is even more beautiful in person! She has been accused of being "the tangled girl" more than once.

I love Alisha!! Really I do. She is truly an amazing girl... SBO assembly chair, varsity volleyball captain, varsity basketball player, honor roll student, absolutely gorgeous, and one of the nicest people you will ever meet! Have I gushed over her enough yet? Oh yeah, she was also accept to Brigham Young Univeristy and will be a cougar next year. I was lucky enough to get to know Alisha while working at East and I am sure that I will stay close to her for years to come... Cross your fingers! I am sure that she will accomplish great things in her life and I can't wait to see what the future holds for her. Congratulations again on your graduation and good luck with everything you do. (Though I don't think you will need it!)

I am in love with this session... Absolutely IN LOVE!!! It has been so hard for me to narrow down the images that I wanted to edit because as you can see this girl cannot take a bad photo. Shannon is the granddaughter of the Pedersons that gave away all of those amazing scholarships to the East High students. Apparently the apple doesn't fall to far from the tree because in the short time that I got to know Shannon it was obvious that she is gorgeous inside and out. She was so nice and extremely easy to work with... Totally up for anything. When I first met up with Shannon she said that she wanted to have some photos like the scholarship finalists. So, this first photo is kind of a continuation from that series. Thanks for doing this session with me Shannon, in between the scattered rain showers and slightly hyper Oakley I think we got some truly amazing photos!

Here is one of Shannon's very best friends, Oakley. She was a little high strung and scared of any tiny dog that came our way, but she still worked it out in front of the camera.

We worked really hard to get a photo with the American flag waving in the background. This one should be for your sister who was so helpful throughout the shoot... She carried all the outfit changes, took care of Oakley, and she made sure we knew when the flag was waving.

Finally, after a few reschedules due to this crazy annoying Utah weather, I was able to meet up with the Taimani family. My good friend Nia set up this session and I am so glad that she did. This was my third shoot with this lovely girl and I always have so much fun with her. I first met her working at East High where I had the privileged of seeing her nearly everyday and I was able to taking her senior portraits which of course turned out beautifully. Now, since she's a college girl at Weber, I really miss seeing and hearing her. For real, she is probably one of the loudest people you will ever meet but that's one of the reasons why I love her so much. Thanks for letting me photograph your beautiful family!

David Barton Pedersen Scholarship

I have had the amazing opportunity to work on a project for the David Barton Pedersen Scholarship with Leigh VandenAkker at East High. This is the second year that I have been asked to photograph the seniors that are up for the scholarship and I absolutely love it. The students have some truly inspiring stories and are so deserving of the scholarship. This year, there were 17 students that applied with essays that explained how they use the skills they have learned in Mrs. VandenAkker's class to stay drug free and overcome trials in their lives. Mrs. V's class, Techniques for Tough Times, is hard to summarize because it incorporates so many different skill sets. Among many other things, her class helps students understand how to be assertive, to communicate more meaningfully with others, to set goals, to resist peer pressure, and to have a voice. The Pedersen Family lost their son to a drug overdose six years ago and this scholarship was created to honor their son and help other students understand why it is important to be drug free. The Pedersens are always so positive and really portray the true meaning of charity. Instead of focusing on their tragedy, the Pedersens focus on how they can make a difference in other peoples lives.

I was asked to photograph the scholarship finalists and create poster size photos to be displayed at the presentation. For an even greater personal touch Mrs. V gave me a list of qualities that each of the students possessed to also be incorporated in the photographs. The scholarship presentation this year did not fail to exceed my expectations and it was extremely uplifting. After reading the students' essays and having a personal interview with each of them, the Pedersen Family could not choose only a few students to receive the scholarship. So, every student was rewarded a $1,000 scholarship.

I am touched every year by the Pedersen Family's generosity and positive outlook on life. Thank you for letting me take part in such an incredible experience. Here are the scholarship finalists' photos and some images from the event.

Tyler, McKenzei & Tylee {family photography}

Tyler and McKenzei are getting married in May and I could not be more excited! Tyler is my husbands brother and we have just been waiting for this marriage to finally happen. We have all loved McKenzei since she started hanging around the family, especially Tyler's little girl Tylee. They make the cutest family ever which makes for some amazing photos. Bella {senior photography}

As I was getting ready for this photo session I was a little iffy on whether the weather would cooperate with me. I swear the weather is bi-polar in Utah as it switches from warm spring weather, to pouring rain, and then back to bright sunny skies all in one day. Luckily for me, the skies were on my side and it was absolutely perfect once I met up with Bella. Ideal soft light with the sun peaking out every so often to add just the right amount of flare. Ok, I promise I am done talking about the weather... On to this gorgeous girl! Bella made my job SO easy! Just look at that amazing smile. She was a natural in front of the camera, workin it like a pro. Bella is a very outgoing girl so I was hoping I could have some fun with her and she did not disappoint. She embraced all of my crazy ideas and was totally willing to do everything I asked including walking through a freakin freezing cold stream. I LOVED working with her!!! Thanks again Bella for letting me take your senior photos. Good luck at Dixie next year!

This first photo is literally one of my favorite photos EVER!!! I love everything about it.

There's that fun lovin girl I was talkin about! When Bella got in the water she looked totally comfortable and relaxed so I thought I would waddled my pregnant little body into the water with her... It was FREEZING! But, she worked it out and again my freezing toes were totally worth the final images.

Look at the amazing light in the photo above and to the right. Yeah, I know. It's amazing! This set up was Bella's idea and I could not be happier with the end result. I love when my clients try their own ideas out.

The Andersons {family photography}

Wow! What a beautiful family the Anderson's are. Not only are they a good lookin' bunch, they were also one of the nicest families I have had the pleasure of working with. Even with some cold temperatures, which resulted in completely frozen toes, and seriously bright sun, no for real it was blinding at times, we were still able to get some great images that have already made my top 10 list of favorite photos for the new year. Yes I know it is only February but I really do think that some of these photos will stand out above the rest as the year goes on. Anyway, thank you for letting me photograph your families gorgeousness... After how giddy I was upon going through all your photos it was totally worth freezing my toes off!

The Anderson kids instantly knew how to work it in front of the camera. The boys were looking all GQ and the girls...

The girls had the most amazing blue eyes ever!

DJ & Loralee {engagement photography}

As you can see I am working on completely re-vamping my design, branding and really my entire business.... I'll get into that more later. Anyway, let me focus for now on the current shoot and all its awesomeness. DJ has been one of my husbands good friends since junior high school and I have known him since high school. He really is a sweet guy and you can definitely tell that he is way in love with Loralee. But really, how couldn't he be? Loralee... In the little time that I had the pleasure of getting to know her I was able to see that she is an extremely kind and genuine person not to mention the fact that she is drop dead gorgeous. Thanks for the good time guys. Even though our session was what... last fall? I can still remember it as being one of my favorite form the year.

See how much fun these two are? And then... We get just a little classier. I love the more elegant feel of this next series of images.

Hey... I'm back!

So, yeah... I know it has been forever since I put up a post. School and work have seriously taken over my life. But, I plan on posting a lot more! Promise. Anyway, if there is anyone still out there following me, I have some good stuff for you today. I've been crazy busy with shoots lately now that spring is finally here. Although I can't post everything I have been working on right now, here is a sneak peek at three shoots that I am particularly excited about. These girls are all freakin gorgeous and I had so much fun at each of their shoots. Really with each session I think I spent more time laughing than shooting. Thanks for letting me take your graduation photos you three, congratulations to all of you!

Tami {bridal photography}

Tami made the most lovely bride ever! For real, even though at times it was freezing cold, she continued to look flawless. AND did I mention that she had some amazing shoes. I would have stolen them off of her tiny little feet if I thought they would have fit me. Tami, I had so much fun with you and I cannot wait to get the photos from your wedding day up here too. So, everybody keep an eye out because you wont want to miss what's coming.

I was so in love with this location. The colors and textures on this shed, combined with some amazing late afternoon light, almost got me giddy. If you could have seen me on the other side of the camera I guarantee you would have been staring at a big old grin.

Breanna {maternity photography}

I don't know how it happened but, I really do have the most amazing friends anyone could ask for. Take Breanna for example. We have been friends since like the 4th grade when we started playing soccer together. Infact, that soccer team is where a lot of the close friendships I still have today actually came about. Anyway, Brea and I have always clicked. She is such a genuine nice person, is always up for anything, is super fun to be around, and to top it all off she thinks I'm funny. Most of the time. Along with her being just an all around great person, she is also gorgeous. Yes, even now when she is so far along with her second baby boy, she looks absolutely stunning. I seriously hope I look this good when I am expecting... in the far, far future.

I told you she was up for anything! I asked her to lay on down in the snow and she just went for it without even questioning why. I'm glad she did too because I love how this image turned out.
Brea is already an amazing mother to her first little boy, Xander. Her next little guy is so lucky to be getting such a good mom and big brother.

Xander really is such a stud. Seriously, this kid is so easy going and still full of energy. He was basically down for anything we wanted to do, just like his mom. Even when he was so cold that his little lips were starting to turn purple and he was shivering like crazy he still had a big old grin on his face; just happy to be there.

I am pretty sure this next photo is one of my favorite images ever. There is just something about it for me. So, on that note I will finally end this enormous post.

Skye {portfolio photography}

WOW. Let me start out by saying yes, I know this girl is amazingly gorgeous. Let me now tell you what isn't so extremely obvious from these photos. Not only is Skye beautiful, she is also freakin' hilarious, very dedicated when she puts her mind to do anything, a beyond amazing hair stylist, and one of the nicest people I have ever met. Ok, have I gushed over her enough yet? She has been one of my best friends since high school and although I might be a little bias because I love her so much, I still think anyone that meets Skye would agree with all of the above. I was so excited when she asked me to take some photos for her figure competition portfolio. I swear she lives in the gym it is so paying off since she looks absolutely amazing. I think the image below is my favorite full length shot from the session. She was SO working those boots. For real, I don't know how many people could pull off this look like she can.

I know I metioned this before but, Skye really is an amazing hairstylist. If you are ever in Vegas make sure you swing by the Mandalay Bay's salon to let her get you all dolled up. Believe me, you wont be dissapointed!

Tami and Garrett... I had SO much fun with you. Probably too much fun as I spent almost as much time laughing as I did shooting. After multiple slips and almost falling down a small icy hill, freezing in the bitter cold, and defrosting in the car I was able to tell that these two are great together. For real. Apparently, they have known each other for a long time, reaching all the way back to high school. However, they didn't fall for each other until this year. Garrett was able to sweet talk Tami while telling her all about Honduras and he just stole her little heart. So, now I get to photograph there wedding in February. I am so excited to spend some more time with this amazing couple; the laughs will just keep on rollin' and we can add on to their awesome photo collection. So, thank you Honduras. Can't wait guys!

Tami's ring is so gorgeous. It looks amazing on her petite little finger.

I love this next image. It's so classically stunning with one eye hidden behind her curls.

Yep, there is a large height gap with these two. Something that I know all too well.

We did this session up my favorite canyon and as always the light didn't fail me!

This was totally Garrett's idea. He wanted to do some shots in the snow. Tami was slightly hesitant but, since she was already almost frozen solid she went for it. Getting down was easy...

Getting up in stiletto boots was not so easy. Tami, don't hate me for posting these! They are too fun for the world to never see. Besides, they show how great your future husband is! He was so cute trying to help you up no matter how hard you were making that for him.. Love you!

Vanessa & Reyana {family photography}

Oh Vanessa and Reyana. You have no idea how much I loved this session with you. From beginning to end everything went just perfectly. Reyana was so full of energy and joy. As you can see this little giggly girl was all smiles and did everything she was asked like a pro. Really she could be on ANTM with her killer poses. And, just look at her gorgeous mother. I have worked with Vanessa at East High for a couple of years now and she really is amazing. She's just one of those really thoughtful, kind people that you can sit around chatting with forever until you lose track of time. On top of everything else she is smokin' hot so photo time was that much more fun.

I love this next image. Vanessa is truely an amazing mother and you can tell that Reyana just loves her mommy. Is it just me or can you almost feel the love in this next photo?

The light up this canyon serisouly could not be more perfect, gorgeous, radiant, gold goodness. So what I am trying to say is I liked it. A lot.

Yes, I do have my favorites from this session too. I love, love , love love, these next four images. They just make me happy.

Wow. I cannot believe how long it has been since I put up a post. I wish I could say there was some huge exciting event keeping me away but no. Christmas, illness, family, and New Years have taken up all of my free time lately. However, I have been doing some really amazing shoots in between all of the holiday cheer. So here you go, a quick recap of a few of my favorite images. A more in depth account of each session will be coming soon. So don't give up on me yet! So lately I have been getting some grief about saying that I LOVE everything or that I have too many favorites with each post. I am really, REALLY bad at choosing my favorites because I do love so many images. Well, I'm sorry but this post wont be any different. This family was so much fun to work with. They were all so excited to get a "real" family portrait done. I hope you love them as much as I do.

And so it begins... I think this is one of my FAVORITE couple photos. I just get so drawn into the relaxed feeling and perfect golden light filtering in behind them. LOVE it!

How could the shoot go bad when you have people this happy and fun. I love the photo below; it just makes me smile.

These girls are so cute. First you have stunning eyes..

...then you get sweet dimples!

To end I will share one image from a super fun series of the girls jumping all over Aric. Out of the series this one, of course, is my favorite.

Candace {bridal photography}

For everyone that knows Candace don't freak out about not receiving an invite to her wedding. I just had to ask Candace to get all dolled up for some bridal modeling. Can you blame me? I absolutely love photographing her. She has a gorgeous smile, bright blue eyes, completely flawless skin, and she looks absolutely beautiful without even trying. So, I really wanted to see her get all done up and into a wedding dress. Anyway, I was right, she looks AMAZING all in white. Thanks again Can, love you!

The sun was definitely on our side for this shoot. I love how it peeked out in the photo below.

Again with the good light. The sun gave us the most amazing glowy back light for the next two photos.

I loved this building so much. Unfortunately, as you can tell from the first few photos, it was in pretty bad shape. Now where this crumbly building once stood there is nothing more than a dirt pit. What a shame.

I will end with my favorite photos from the whole shoot. The wind started to blow and Candace remained looking absolutely exquisite.

The Martins {family photography}

We have been trying to get my husbands family together for what seems like FOREVER! My mother-in-law has been wanting to get these done for literally years. So, after much planning and re planning, I am glad to say that we were finally able to get everyone together. Now, I know I am a bit bias but these kids are do dang cute I can hardly stand it.

Just look at these kids. You cannot tell me they aren't total studs. I love the above right image; Tys is such a good big brother!

I would say 98% of the time that I see Bryn she is just grinnin'. Except of course when we wanted her to for family pictures, isn't that how it always works out?

I love this little smile. I think she knew when all the family shots were done because that's when she turned into a total ham and wanted nothing more than to have her picture taken.

The only time this little girl gave us one of her amazing real smiles was when she could choke out her dad. And, she can give some pretty intense hugs as you can see below.

I'm not really sure why but the next image just makes me smile. I love their "too cool" expressions.

And here we all are again. If you can't pick me out, I am the shortest one with the blue scarf on the left. Thanks for such a great shoot everyone and Wan, your wall is going to look amazing!

Christmas Cards {design}

OK, I will just get it out of the way right now... I am absolutely in love with these photos! It was so hard for me to sift through these images and make cuts for my blog. So, when this happens, I just have to put a ton on. Tatem was so much fun to photograph. At first she tried to cover her gorgeous smile with her little hands. However, her efforts were all for naught because this big old grin never really left her face and, after a while, it was impossible for her to hide it. So finally she had to cave and I am so glad she did because it let her little personality just shines through out all of these photos.

I know! It has been FOREVER since I have put up a post. I have been slammed with shoots since the leaves began to change and my blogging got lost some where along the way. My bad. But, I have this super huge, amazing post to make up for it! This session was a long time in the making. Luckily, after much scheduling and rescheduling do to uncooperative weather, we were final able to make it happen on this gorgeous fall day.

Candace & Zach {anytime photography}

I know I say this a lot but seriously I think this is one of my favorite photo sessions ever! I can't even tell you how excited I was when Candace called and asked if I would take some photos of her and her honey. First, Candace has been one of my best friends since like the 4th grade and I absolutely love her so I knew it would be a good time at the shoot. Then, there is the fact that she is such a natural beauty, for real she looks this gorgeous all the time without even trying. Finally, the images that we were able to take far exceeded even my expectations. These two were so natural at showing the obvious affection they have for each other and, as you can see, they look absolutely amazing together. Thanks again for letting me pull you all over the city; I think it was worth it!

These two really were up for anything that I asked them to do. Like... maybe climbing into a cage thing on the side of a wall. It ended up being a tighter squeeze than I had originally anticipated but, they were able to work it out while I apologized through hysterical laughter on the side. Believe me, the climbing in and out of this thing was really funny to watch

It was hard to choose but, I think this next photo is my favorite from the whole shoot. Just stunning.

I had so much fun at this photo session. Brooke and Kevin's three little girls did such an amazing job showing their fun personalities. Especially after some help by Kevin, which included many blown kisses, tickling, and good old candy brides, the girls gave me some awesome faces. In addition to gorgeous smiles, this family had such a great look. For real, if you question what to wear to a photo session here is an amazing example of mixing up some fun patterns and colors that pop while still keeping everyone coordinated. I especially love the red fingernails detail that tied all the girls together, so cute. Thanks again for letting me photograph your sweet family!

I was so lucky to meet this sweet family. Seriously, these kids were so much fun to photograph. After just this short time I spent with them I was able to tell that they were more than just siblings, that they are good friends too. AND, like I said before, I got lucky because their love definitely shows through to make some amazing group photos.

Isn't this kid a total stud? I LOVE the faux hawk.

Just look at the gorgeous eyes on these kids. They make my job way too easy.

Jessica {anytime photography}

Wow. I really don't need to say how gorgeous Jessica is, I think anyone who looks at the images below can see that for themselves. Again, needless to say, I was WAY excited for this photo shoot. Her good looks and natural charisma in front of the camera would have been enough to make this a beyond amazing shoot but, on top of everything, Jess is also one of my best friends and has been since elementary school. We had way to much fun together and spent most of the session laughing rather than shooting. In spite of the wind, hysterical laughter, and the occasional on looker :) we got some really amazing photos. Jess, thanks for letting me take pictures of your beautiful face! Love you.

Isn't this an amazing location? This barn was encircled with some off the wall random junk which was perfect for us. And, we caught it at just the right time as one of the barns had collapsed and we were able to climb into the rubble.

Jessica has the prettiest eyes I have ever seen. They are actually this blue in real life if you can beleive it.

I just could not get enough of Jessica on the camera so we kept the shoot going even after if got dark. I'm glad we did because I love the moodiness in this last image.

Marisol's Girls {kids photography}

So, I have worked with Marisol for a little over a year and I have always heard about her girls. I was finally able to meet them at this photo shoot and yes, they are as fantastic as Marisol always said they were. They were so sweet and giggly which was a ton of fun for me. First of all, let me just say the I absolutely LOVE everything about this session. I was warned at the beginning that the boys were a little shy. But, after I layed down some smack talk about Utah beating BYU's football team to one of the boys and tried out some reverse psychology to get some real smiles from the other, they were awesome. Infact, the whole family was so fantastic that I had a really hard time narrowing down my favorites. So, this is a large post because that is just what has to happen when I like them all.

I don't know what it is but something about the photo below just makes me happy.

Yes, I know this next image is a little out of focus BUT I just love their expressions. So, I had to share it.

While we were taking a family portrait in this wheat field the boys spotted a praying mantis and it totally consumed their attention. I tried to catch it for them but wussed out as soon as I touched it. Finally, after some big brother encouragement, they caught it! Look how proud he is of his capture.

These two have such different looks but once you put their gorgeous eyes together you can definitely tell they are brothers. Look at those big hazel eyes, exactly the same color.

For this family session we went to an industrial site that had some awesome textures and bright colors. Even though it was way dirty, I think these photos were well worth all the wet wipes we had to use. And... just look at this sweetness! Look at this sweet little guy. Can you believe all of that thick brown hair? He already looks like he could have a haircut. I loved this shoot with Ryan, especially once he drifted off to sleep. Brynlee has to be the smiliest, happiest kid I have ever met. Seriously. And I am not just talking about this photo session. Bryn is my youngest niece and is always a joy to be around. It was so easy to photograph her with so many adorable expressions that I could do it all day if she would let me. I know this is a super long post but i mean common how could I choose which of these to leave out?

Is it just me or does Bryn literally look like a little doll here? Sometime I just can't stand how cute she is.

This has to be one of the cutest kids I have ever seen; gorgeous "camo" colored eyes, sweet smile, and an awesome faux-hawk. Lucky for me, he is my nephew and I get to hang out with this handsome guy all the time. I had tons of fun doing this session with Tyson. He was so entertained by all the animals found around every corner in West Haven that we were able to get a nice long shoot before he finally lost interest. I know that I might be biased because Tylee is my niece but, isn't she just the cutest thing you have ever seen? I was so excited when I was asked to photograph her for her 5th birthday. She was posing all over the place and in the end I LOVE how the images turned out. She wore such awesomely bright clothes and her big blue eyes and blond curls didn't hurt either. Here's a large, over due sneak preview.

Seriously? She looks like a little Abercrombie model with that piercing stare. Have I already said I LOVE it? because I totally do.

Ajaleigh {kids/family photography}

On top of having fireworks and sparklers to celebrate her 4th of July birthday, Ajaleigh also always has a picture of her sweet smiling face plastered on top of her birthday cake. So, for her 7th birthday I had the opportunity to take Ajaleigh and her dad up Emigration Canyon in hopes of getting the perfect birthday cake photo. They were so cute together and after seeing their first iterations it was clear that there is a lot of love between these two. Not only is Ajaleigh a total daddy's-girl, she is also such girly-girl! While on the shoot her main concerns centered around clothing changes, a huge pink peony, and staying away from bugs. We ended up with so many beautiful images that it was hard to narrow them down to my favorites but here they are.
